Bored Panda reached out to Buoy to dive into their creative process. The artist revealed a lifelong love for drawing random doodles.
"I’ve been sketching since I was a kid, always carrying a little sketchbook with me," Buoy shared. "Filling it with random doodles was one of my favorite pastimes. One day, I noticed that my drawings looked a lot like tattoo flash designs. That’s when it hit me—maybe someone would want to get a tattoo featuring my doodles. So, I decided to give it a try!"

"These days, most of my ideas come from the internet, like memes!" Buoy revealed.

"I love all kinds of animals, so I’ve experimented with many different types," Buoy explains. "But with frogs, it’s their mindless facial expression that gets me—they just look like they have no idea what’s going on. I think a lot of my followers can relate to that!
Of course, I get love for my other tattoos too, but every time I post a frog tattoo, it gets a ton of likes on Instagram. More people started asking me for frog tattoos, so I kept posting them—and it’s been so much fun!"
